Election Day is November 8,2016:
TO REGISTER BY MAIL: The last day to register to vote by mail is Tuesday, November 1, 2016, to the Registrar’s Office (Room 122, City Hall), or by hand-delivery to the DMV or voter-registration agency.
TO REGISTER IN PERSON: The last day to register to vote is Monday, November 7, 2016, in the Registrar’s Office (Room 122, City Hall).
The Registrar’s office will be open on Saturday October 22, 2016 from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M., as well as on Tuesday evening November 1, 2016 until 8:00 P.M.
Note: Persons whose rights as to age, citizenship, or residence mature after November 1, 2016, may apply up to Noon November 7, 2016.
Also Note: Connecticut now allows for Election Day Registration (EDR), so it is possible to go to City Hall on Election Day — November 8 (between 6:00 A.M. and 8:00 P.M.) to register and vote. Persons wishing to do so must have a valid I.D. and with current proof of Norwalk residency (30 days or less). People registering on Election day must vote at City Hall.
There is no EDR at regular polling places.
