By state statute, the city is required to development a “master plan” for Norwalk. It’s formal title is the Plan of Conservation and Development and you can read it HERE.
The master plan is supposed to guide the decisions of the council and city departments so that resources can be managed in balance and priorities for things like environmental issues, traffic, lighting and transportation.
The state requires that the master plan be revisited every ten years and a comprehensive master plan takes months to develop or even to revise. Our master plan was last completed in 2008.
